 junkies shiver under rotating star

and moonlight casts over better skies

as feral cats gather to 

last in resilience

finding fortune in reluctance 

with sunken toe prints 

kneading through

viscous oil slicks

and inside the wires

of wavering justice

the underbelly feeds
